LuxNews: Mizrahi's "Semi-couture"
As if Isaac Mizrahi's custom apparel at Bergdorf Goodman and scaled-down collection at Target weren't already enough to talk about, the legendary designer has coined a new phrase for his new collection: "semi-couture". The ten-piece line is to launch at Bergdorf's later this week and will come in four sizes that are customizable because of their wide seam allowances. The semicustom retail prices will range from $2,800 to $6,800. In addition to the benefit of instant gratification, the collection is a change from Mizrahi's couture pieces, which reach $30,000.
